Benefits of Joining

Members may enter all regional, national and international competitions

Regional Qualifiers (RQs)

Compete over three or four separate days to represent the Region at the EPA's flagship event, the Inter-Regional Championships (IRCs). Around 800 players and officials gather on Hayling Island on a weekend in September for these annual IRCs where sporting friendships and rivalries are forged and renewed. And garden furniture can become an art exhibition

Regional Triples, Doubles, Over-50s (Doubles) and Shooting

Strive for a Regional Title and the opportunity to go on to national Champion of Champions event in September/October
With the introduction in 2015 of an EPA O50s Doubles Champion of Champions event, the Region inaugurated a Regional O50s qualifying competition

Regional Singles and Pointing

Go mano-a-mano and tête-à-tête. These competitions are usually held in conjunction with the Shooting event

Go for an England shirt!

Pétanque is nothing if not a social game - even more so at Regional level. Longlasting bonds and memories are there for the taking. If you're passionate about this amazing game, help us further the cause
Give it a go!
Newcomers to Regional membership tend to underestimate their own potential. With a little experience at this level you will quickly find yourselves mixing it with the best. By way of illustration, four new teams in the 2014 RQs achieved 18 wins between them on the last day of the competition. The best way to improve your standard and enjoyment is to play with and against better players. Many of our more experienced members delight in mentoring less experienced players and we look forward to hearing from you (Contact Us). Alternatively form your own triples and pairs and join the fray
